SERVING ILLUMINATIONS
Over the past two months I have hand-made 50 Papier-mâché lamps for Atelier100's Collection01. The lamps have been created using tennis ball cans that I have sourced from independently run Tennis Clubs around London and then pulped with paper using discarded Evening Standards found on the London Underground. Serving Illuminations focuses on sustainability as the core component of the project. For the past 10 years, I've been looking in the recycling bin for forms for sculptures and how we can turn something that will be binned into a loved object, be it something for your home or in a gallery. Atelier100 is a concept store and a brand new funding, mentoring, networking and retail platform uniting creatives, makers and manufacturers sponsored by H&M and Ingka Group.
The lamps are currently only via their their store located: Atelier 100, Livat Hammersmith, King St, London W6 9HW
Also check the base which will inform you of which club your can has travelled from!
